Wrenn thought he'd left his worries behind him. "New Quadrant, New Life"- that's what all the gossipers were prattlin' on about the Reach, the new frontier in the uncharted Omega Quad. Wrenn figured if he ran fast enough and far enough, he might just get ahead of them demons that were chasin' him. . . but he didn't count on ol' Lady Luck having somethin' to say about it. Between loot-hungry pirates, the corpos stakin' a claim to every resource, and mercenaries aiming for his head, Wrenn's gonna have a hard time keeping his iron secured in its holster. He's not alone though, as he happens upon a mysteriously abandoned vessel named the Whisper and a certain illegal modification stashed within. While joining forces with a grifting blonde bombshell, sharing drinks with a redheaded barmaid, and even runnin' afoul of someone jaded from his past, Wrenn's about to find out just how wild life can be out in the black.
